Have 2 Windows Live accounts

I currently have 2 windows live accounts. 1 that is very old that is currently on my HTC Windows Phone 8X and 1 that I just created not too long ago. I am just wondering, is there any way for me to transfer everything from my old Windows Live account to my new one? I know you cannot change windows live accounts on your phone unless you do a reset, so I am wondering, if it would be possible to backup everything I have in my old windows live account, reset my phone, log in with the new windows live account, and pull down the backup from the old account. If not is there someway to transfer all my settings, contacts, apps, pictures, whatever that are associated with my old account somewhere where I could later access it and transfer it back to my new account?

Add your new account as an alias to your old account. Then backup your phone, hard reset, and sign in with your new account. Your backups should be available.
