I was looking on eBay for fun and noticed that the HD2 is quadband, and shows what the batterylife will be with WCDMA usage. Does that mean I could purchase this for $789 albeit, and use it on Verizon? Would I have to do anything else? Wouldn't they be unsure about programming a phone they don't carry? Any help would be appreciated. I don't think I would pay that much but if the price comes down a bit I may get crafty.

no the radios are gsm wcdma is UTMS band and its not a world phone like VZN's models that have a sim card for supposedly outside the US even though it can be hacked to use in the US.
