Hi Everyone!

I searched this problem of mine and found many posts about the upload speed limited on Windows 10 after upgrading and solutions but not find the exact solution for the problem I am facing so I decided to write and ask, if this issue is addressed before but I am unable to find it so pardon me in advance :)

Now toward the issue

All my uploads are being time out after 3 or 4 seconds and resulting in failures eating my bandwidth and leaving me at 0% even after days after upgrading to Windows 10 I mean all, if file is small enough that got uploaded in the 3 or 4 seconds it is ok it upload but if file is large it start over and over and over consuming the bandwidth each time but not uploading I tried to upload the files to Dropbox, Box and Mega Clouds all do the same thing, e.g 40 pictures 4 MB of each tried to upload and after 2 days just 3 of my pictures are uploaded. It is happening all over if I upload to FTP server it eventually upload in little time but only because FTP server don't start from the 0% again just drop back few percent and start again automatically like first uploaded 1 MB drop back to 500 KB started again uploaded 1 MB making 1.5 MB total and drop back to 1 MB and go on like that.

There is no connection problem because I copied my other files 300 MB of each and uploaded to cloud through my phone and with same connection and I able to upload 4 GBs in 2 hours there is no timeouts there. On Windows 7 it was also no time outs I could just leave file in my folders and they upload with continuous speed but on Win 10 they are not start upload speed goes to maximum for few second then drop to 0 for a few seconds then start again. To upload the 300 MB file on the FTP server I consumed the about 1.2 GBs of bandwidth and that is only because it is resume supported otherwise I can leave the file to upload automatically and it can cosume my whole bandwith in 2 days. Tried different connections also all do the same.

I found the posts on WIndows 10 limiting the upload speed but my upload speed is not limited just it get timeout after few seconds same connections work fine as they supppose to on phone and on other Windows 7 (Which is not compatible to 10) Download is continuous no speed drop no connection timeout but not upload. Please help I really like the WIndows 10 more then Windows 7.

Thanks in advance :)

Hi Your issue seems to be related to W10. Your connection is very slow. I really don't have a good suggestion. Does this happen on all browsers? You might try a different browser just to eliminate the browser. Have you contacted your ISP? Possibly a modem problem?? Sorry I just don't know. Maybe other members will have a better answer latter!

-SELF CHECKING: Is your w10pc network icon has yellow colour sign or any?
If yes then you've to call your ISP.

But if your Wi-Fi attached to w10pc running , then
You've to install/repair/update your w10pc LAN drivers.

Hi ! Here's link to drivers. Suggested by @Aman Deep! It also says your PC might not be supported!
Support for OptiPlex 755 | Dell US

Product not tested for Windows 10 upgrade

Dell is not testing or developing Windows 10 drivers for this product. If you choose to upgrade, some features, applications, and connected devices may not work as expected.

Network icon is fine like normal also no issue of isp and modems if there is other computer that is running windows 7 should have same problem and the phone but both of them work fine as suppose to be.

Hi ! Wondering if you have solved your issue? My thoughts are that your PC is not tested for W10! Therefore it might not perform well! Just my thoughts!
You could try to update your driver in device manager!

This is your win 7 problem then.

Re-install you Lan drivers OR
the whole win 7 then.

Hi @Aman Deep! Thanks for joining the thread. I think the OP is saying that their phone and W7 is good. The problem is with W10. That's the way I understand the OP! The link I provided says that model is not supported for W10 and may not perform well!

No not yet though I not think it is driver issue because latest drivers from Dell are of 2007 and Windows have automatically updated my LAN drivers to some 2011 version when it updated.

Second the 3G modems connected through the USB not use the Ethernet connection and they behave the same.

Third what I found is my Ethernet of PC Optimus-755 is same as of my Laptop Latitude D-630 use the same set of drivers and I remember uploads were working fine on laptop which was also running Windows 10 though it was running Windows 10 since it updated first from 7 year ago during the free upgrade however its windows is not updated since and I removed it to install kali-linux for something to do months and not using it because my battery is busted and that thing was in cupboard since, but I installed win 10 on this desktop just 2 months ago (I not allowed it to update year ago just registered with it). I recon may be some later updated might have alter some settings in the windows.

however my Desktop is continuously trying to update to anniversary update of Windows 1607 since I installed but it not update after downloading give error and start again so I downloaded the ISO image from Microsoft will try to manually install in a day and two and see if problem disappear after that.

Thanks for the update! I keep suggesting this, but you never respond to this. When I search your product, I see this. Do you not see this? Did you even click on my attachment in post #6. Good luck with the ISO !!

Yes I checked this Dell you posted before even downloaded the drivers but they get to the windows version of the drivers through update. However I think of drivers is not because of same happening to other connections which are not of Dell manufacture and are no way associated with Optiplex-755, Thanks however.

You're very Welcome! Good luck with your issue. Post back when you find a solution! It says your Dell is not supported for W10 and may not perform as expected:smile:! That's the best I can do for you!
