Help My Lumia 520.!!

Here's My problem..

i accidently dropped it on water then i immediately turned it off then put it on a rice bag..

after 2days i turned it on...

it vibrated but its only a black screen..

i can still hear the screenshot sound when i do the screenshot combo
and still the 3 capacitive buttons is still vibrating....

my Lumia 520 is still recognizable by my computer but no display its only black/blank screen..
tried reprogramming it via NCS but still no display....

what do you think is the problem? Please Help Me....:unhappysweat:

Maybe its just the screen. Try replacing the screen DIY or maybe bring it to a Nokia service center and let them have a look.

Did you take out the battery after it was dumped into water?

Yes i did take off the battery.. but im out of warranty tho.. is it the lcd or just the digitizer..??

Could be possible that the contact between the LCD and the board is still wet, you can try disassembly your L520 and dry the LCD connector with air, NOT hot air. Maybe clean it gently with alcohol.

well i did disassembly my L520 i did use a blower to make it dry.. which will i clean with alcohol then?

Maybe you need to apply some air on the LCD connector that goes to the board.

Check this tutorial.

In the pic number 5, that shows where is located the LCD connector, you need take out gently, and then apply some air into the connector. Then if you want, you can clean that connector with q tips and alcohol.

welll i did what you told me and still no success of anything.. any other suggestions? thanks for the help ^_^ i do appreciate it..!

Exactly the same happened to my lumia 520 too. Sorry pal, but warranty does not cover qater drop and screen isnt worth changing. Do what i did. Take another lumia 520! Its cheap anyway!
