Help on developer unlocking

So I have a developer account and everything but it says I need a windows 8 computer that runs 64bit is there a possible work around this?

No way around it. Windows 8.x is required for the development of Windows Phone 8.x and Windows 8.x.

This may be to allow for easier testing and deployment. Or, a more likely reason: To get devs on Windows 8.

Well thanks I guess I have to upgrade my computer lmao I like windows 7 better though
