Help - Outlook on Lumia 950 and Online not syncing like I thought it would

Can someone explain the Outlook email system to me. I have moved from iCloud to Outlook as I intended to move from OSX & iPhone to W10 and WP, but bit by bit I am finding W10 quite frustrating. My latest issue with Outlook Syncing practises. Please can any advise on the below.

I receive emails on my 950 and online OK, but if I delete or move to archive it only does it on my phone. When I go to my account online there is no email in the archive folder.

Same goes the other way around. Anything archived online does not show up in the archive folder on my 950.

This is very annoying as I expected it to all sync up so that when I am either on my phone, online my email account would be mirrored.

I am guessing that syncing Outlook between Phone, Desktop and Online isn't possible.

I am using the native app on my Lumia 950 so I did expect that if I delete an email on my phone that it would also delete on my Office 365 desktop app and online too.

I have just added iCloud to my phone and have tried to delete an email from the phone app, low and behold, it deletes it on my iCloud Online account and on the Mail App on my Macbook Pro.

I also set up a gmail account and tried doing the same as a test, and yeah that worked too.

So I am totally mystified why I can not do this with Outlook. Am I missing something obvious, or is it just not possible (yet) as it seems really silly that a MS Phone with Windows 10 and MS Outlook can not sync together.
