Help - problem after software update

so here I was, installing a software update presuming i was doing the right thing... now my phone is constantly drained and when i go to turn it on it comes up with 2 cogs just endlessly gonig round and round! someone tell me what to do! haha

This might be a silly question but have you tried a soft reset yet?
