Help! Removing empty genre's from Groove music app

Hi

I'm using a Lumia 950 with Groove Music. I have put all my music onto it via WMP. That has all worked fine. However, when I go into the list of genre's on the phone, it is showing all the really old, empty ones. I have spent hours searching online to find a solution to this but haven't got anywhere. I have tried removing the sd card, deleting the music and resyncing, but it still shows all the old genre's, which is really annoying as in other respects it works great.

Please, please, please could someone help me with a solution - I can't be the only person to have this issue.

Do not expect your music to display on the phone as compared to WMP,
Music displays on the phone come from the mp3 tag on the file.

The easiest way to see how the music is actually tagged is to use file explorer on the PC.
Select to view the Genre column
