[Help] Reprogram the search key to either Google or even better turn it into a 'forward' key?

W

WPCentral Question

The back key is very useful; how do I get a forward key? Can I reprogram the search key to do that? Otherwise, can I make it default to Google instead of Bing? I had done that, but with the upgrade to 8.1 it's gone.

No. You can't reprogram the search key, you never could. It either uses Bing or Cortana (depending on you having Cortana in your region).

What you can do is change the default search engine on Internet Explorer to Google. However, that change doesn't affect the search button which keeps tied to Bing.
