I was having some troubles with MMS, it never worked for actual picture messages, but occasionally non-media messages showed up as such. After some important texts did this, I looked to the internet for a solution, what I read was that I had to reset my phone and reconfigure it in the boot settings (I'm unlocked in the US, btw). All my music, pictures, etc was on a Micro SD, so a hard reset wasn't too devastating so I decided to try it.
However when turning the phone back on after the reset, I get stuck on the gears (similar to http://forums.windowscentral.com/nokia-lumia-920/209356-how-long-does-hard-reset-take.html), from what I read there, one solution was to just try it a couple times, or leave the phone off and alone for an hour or so and then try again, I have tried it several times (without much gap in between), and retried usually after an hour or more (I left it going all night for one of them). I also came across this page in my search for a solution (http://forums.windowscentral.com/no...after-reset-flash-process-defined-inside.html), however that is directed at the lumia 920, but also seems to be referring to a similar problem, would that also work with the 620.
Anyway thanks for whatever help you can give, as I said, I'm in the US, so returning it and getting a new one is not really an option, I have this particular phone because my wallet is pretty tight, so buying a new one right now as well isn't an option, nor by any means ideal. Any Suggestions are appreciated!
Edit: I also tried these two steps to see what result it would yield from one of the above pages
2. Hold the Volume Down and the Power button
3. After you feel a vibration in the phone immediately release the Volume Down and the Power button and hold the Volume up button.
This brought me too a lightning bolt and gear, as opposed to the usual spinning gears, but so far it doesn't appear to be doing anything different.
