Help with Microsoft Display Dock HD-500

I recently bought a 950XL and received the free display dock. I tried it out on my tv in the bedroom, it setup and worked fine; but if I try to use it on a different tv or monitor, the display doesn't fit, it's too big, even on a smaller tv.The setup hasn't ran again and I have tried everything I can think of. Help!

Is there a hidden reset button?

on the other tv, do you have settings for zoom? It might be set to zoom further or stretch

That worked on the other TV. Had to set to native resolution.
