Well I thought we could use a thread were we could put useful and helpful information in one place!

So this can be a link, piece of code, advice anything that will benefits others!

First piece that I have is a link to MS Windows Phone sample codes if starting developers what to take a look at some codes:

This is a good site with a lot of different dev stuff, but most important they have over 1500 free metro icons :excited: Windows 8 Development & Windows Phone Development Tutorials, Articles, News, Components, Videos, Resources

This is a great program for WP development. I mostly use it to browse Isolated Storage. Windows Phone Power Tools - Home To be able to use it in Windows 8.1 it is a thread with instructions in the discussion on the page.

There's also Metro Studio, which is another great database of metro icons, and you can create your own! Lots of flexibility within the program, and it looks nice too. Also, all of the icons are free, and you can do whatever you want with them!

Personally, a decent photo manipulation program (GIMP, Paint.net, etc.) and Metro Studio are good enough tools alone to create icons of almost any icon required...

If you use GameMaker this is a great book or kindle to have explains the basic and advance.
