hey guys,i have recently buy a nokia lumia 1020 when i capture the picture it wont zoom well

actually when i capture the picture it can only zoom a bit than the picture starts losing its pixels,it has a huge mega pixels so why is it doing so? why cant i get the 38 mp image that can be zoomed well without losing details?your help will be appreciated.

when you go the camera app, check under settings what kind of photos it's taking.

There are 3 options:
5MP JPEG only
5MP JPEG + 34/38MP JPEG
5MP JPEG + 34/38MP DNG

If you want the high resolution shots, you need to either choose option 2 or option 3. DNG is the RAW file with which you can do a lot of editing if you have the software to do it

Second thing is, when taking photos, what the phone shows in the camera roll is the 5MP file and not the full res file. To see the high res file, go to file explorer and navigate to the camera roll
