Hololens Research Paper

So I'm writing my Junior research paper about Hololens. How it works. What it could be used for. And how it's from it's predecessors(that aren't really the same thing i.e oculus rift, google glass, morpheus). So can somebody please explain to me how this works because I need 6 sources and I can use mature forums.

One thing that seems quite interesting is the display - the holographic, one of the best summaries I've seen is actually right here - a post called In-Depth Analysis: What's Inside HoloLens? (I can't post links yet!)

The thing that baffles me is, how are they making it possible to focus on an image in front of your eyes...and out in a room. The "holograms" should either be out of focus, or very straining on the eyes. They would have to be continuously tracking your eye convergence and moving the images to always be in the focus plane. That's amazing!
