There's no worse worse offender in product placement than the Bond franchise, everyone and their mum seemed to have those crap sony ericsson phones in Skyfall - Bond, Javier Bardem, the WHOLE of MI6. I still remember turning to my friend in the cinema during Casino Royale and actually saying out loud 'what the F***?!' when in the middle of a scene, the girl suddenly asks Bond:

'That's a very sexy watch.......what is it, a Rolex?'

Bond: 'No, actually it's an OMEGA.'

Oh dear.
I usually mind less when the products are actually decent but those bond phones are abysmal. Loving the lumia presence in Vampire Diaries, but seriously, regardless of your feelings for google - who the **** says the phrase 'Why don't we bing it?!'

I don't watch the show and never heard of it, but I saw a Windows Phone commercial at the movie theatre. It was the one with Ben the PC Guy challenging the couple at the outdoor cafe to see whether the woman's iPhone 5 or the Nokia Lumia 920 took a better picture at night. Ben had a yellow 920. The woman picked a red 920.

Prior to that, there was another ad that showed off more 920s in various colours and 8Xs in various colours.

Nice, that's actually quite effective there. Would not mind to see cut version of that as a TV ad.

Noticed the white one myself. But I wonder, for those that don't already have the phone, will they know what it is? I wonder how much MS/Nokia are forking out to to get their phones in the hands of stars? I wonder if it actually sells phones...

Microsoft has tons of product placement on CBS. I'm really OK with the embedded ads - we need some model to pay for all the free content, and since no one watches ads (or live TV) anymore, this is the future.

I saw ads for Heineken beer featuring the Skyfall cast at the movie theatre right around the time Skyfall was opening.

That was stupid, since Bond doesn't even drink beer.

I have seen either the 900 or 920 model in black on the TV Show Scandal almost weekly now. I also saw the Lumia 920 vs. iPhone 5 commercial in the movie theatre last Saturday night. I say aloud 'yaaaay windows phone' lol
