How about a Bible app?

The only decent Bible app available is YouVersion, which does not allow downloaded bibles and requires a data/wifi connection. If Laridian or Olive Tree would do one, they could corner the market, at least for now. Links to suggest this for Laridian and Olive Tree are below:

Select a Device -- Olive Tree Support

Try LDS Gospel Library, it can even read the scriptures to you.

I recently put KBible out there. It comes with five versions, and I'm working on getting some of the paid ones out there. I need to add some features, such as highlighting, but it has a good search, tracks reading if you want, and I'd like to get some feedback on the user-friendliness. Completely free, no ads, no $ for me, just wanted to write my own. I can't seem to find it in search, though, unless I try "KBible" exactly.

I have been very disappointed in YouVersion's lack of interest in fixing the deficiencies in their app. I will check these others out!
