How big is your system folder?

My settings folder is 4.95GB in storage sense. I have a Rogers 920 on the latest DP release and Black firmware. It has never been hard reset - I have updated from the launch software and joined the dev preview.

I'm curious to compare the size to someone on the same model (or other 920 variants) who has flashed the cyan ROM and started fresh. I have a feeling there is extra stuff in that settings folder due to all the updates I've done on the phone.

I think it all depends on which phone you are using. Not all the Lumias have the same features/functioning. Also there's nothing we could do about it. I have 1320, my system folder is around 3.1gb

I think it has to do with things you add on to the OS like when you add a new keyboard language you have to download and install it.
I'm too lazy to check my 920, but its also on Cyan but not in the dev preview.

I don't remember exactly but in WP8, my system folder was around 2.1-2.3 Gb, now its 3.1 Gb almost a Gb more, that shows that cyan is definitely a huge update

Thanks to everyone who responded. You've confirmed my suspicion that there is extra crap accumulating in the system folder. I'm planning to a recovery with the nokia flashing tool to reclaim the space.

My developer preview enrolled device just got the CYAN update today and increased the system folder from 4.95 to 4.99GB. This is 1.69GB more than gwinegarden's 3.3gb system folder.

gwinegarden, are you running windows 8.1 update? my software version is 8.10.14176.243, thank you.

My 920 with DP and cyan shows 3.25 for the system folder. I am on ATT.
