How can I change the app to screen size ratio on my new Lumia 640?

I've finally unboxed my 640 after 4 days since it was delivered. I opted for the reset option which apparently imported apps and settings from my smaller Lumina 635.

All of the app tiles on my 640 are shifted to the left side of the screen and there is an empty strip of black on the entire right hand side. How can I adjust the app tiles so they are in proper ratio with the larger 640 screen?

Unfortunately all new devices with screens bigger than 4.5 can't get the 2 columns start screen.

BTW I switched to 735 from 720, I didn't like the small tiles first, but then I found them more beautiful!
