How can I connect a device to my Asus t100 hdmi input?

Is there a way to connect a device to asus t100 and input screen from the connected the device and use the t100 just as a monitor?
I've tried several times but it would only do output and not input.

The short answer is no. The LCD on a laptop/tablet can't be accessed with the system's on-board HDMI port. The HDMI port on the laptop/tablet is an output port, not an input port.
