Connecting to public WiFi hot spots

Often public WiFi hot spots require that you go to a web page to "log in" or otherwise click a button to accept their terms of service - Starbucks for example. But I can't figure out how to get to that page after Settings>Wi-Fi shows that it has successfully connected. Trying to go to any of the pages I regularly visit just results in an error. (Even with trying to go to www.starbucks.com for example.)

Can someone help me out with what I missing here? Thanks.

Unlocked Lumia 930 Windows Phone 8.1 with Denim.

Re: Connecting to public WiFi hot spots

Hmm, in Wi-Fi sense is the automatically connect/sign into hotspots turned on?

Re: Connecting to public WiFi hot spots

No. I turned that off because it was changing and breaking connections that I wanted to maintain.
