How can I get rid of a pop up message that reads "warning: Chrome internet security damaged" in microsoft edge.

Do you have Chrome installed on ur machine?
And if it does, you should check your account that connected to your Google Chrome .

You can get rid of this fake massage by disabling all suspicious extensions on your Edge! If it does not work, reinstall the browser
