Windows Central Question

I have updated with free Windows 10 from 7 and Google Chrome will not update but gives an error message & after researching, I've tried everything suggested on the web including regedit but not technically able to figure out how to uninstall a program any another way. Haven't found that covers the exact problem.

Click on Start. Now click on All Apps. Scroll down and find Chrome in the list. Right click, and select Uninstall. That should do it.

If it is not listed here, it is possible you are running Chrome Portable, in which case you only need to delete the file directory where it is installed.

Another place to look is crt+alt+delete > task manager > close any processes from Google.

You may have an Google updater running from the old OS that carried over during the upgrade to 10.
