How can I use a Custom Ringtone and text tone? (Windows 10 Mobile build 10586.218 )

I've added the mp3s to the ringtones folder which is in the music folder on my 1520's internal storage and they never show up as options. I've also used the ringtone maker and that doesn't do anything either. Help.

Ringtone Maker should do it. The tracks should be listed as part of your music then ringtone maker should work on them. Other way is to edit them on a PC to be no more than 30 seconds in length, IIRC.

I'm guessing you downloaded the ringtone from your phone and moved it to the ringtone folder? The only way I've gotten it to work is to copy the file to your PC and then copy it to the ringtone folder.

I forgot to mention that the ringtones folder doesn't go in the music folder. It should be on the root of your drive.

I think putting the folder on the root of the device is what finally got it working
