How do I access/alter items in C:\Windows\Temp ?

OK I am the only account on recently migrated W10 laptop. My a/c has Administrator rights but cannot alter or amend items in C:\Windows\Temp folder. Do I really have to go to the root of C:\ permissions and change ownership to Administrator (from Trusted Installer) and propogate the changes down through every folder/subfolder just to be able to access/modify my own PC?
Or is there another, simpler way?

To remove it, use Disk Cleanup, or a 3rd party tool like CCleaner.

Also, a lot of folders in c:\windows are system folders and shouldn't be messed with anyway.
