How do I change from E to 3G on Lumia 535?

how to make the network 3g
it shows E only and the net is very slow

Go to settings > Cellular + Sim > Sim Settings > Highest connection speed > Select 3g.
It will only work if u got 3g activated Sim and proper 3g coverage though.

I made that but still showing E
I was having nokia xl and I make to wcdma only (3g only) by dialing *#*#4636#*#* and the net was very good

Oh, may be try restarting the phone.
If still no then probably the 535 has a weaker reception than XL.

3g network was working with me on asha device
how it is not working in lumia

Are u sure ur network settings are rightly setup?
If yes then it might be a faulty antenna or that the Lumia 535 has generally weak signal reception.
Try and see if by going to another area u get 3g signal and if u can also try the Sim on any other WP 8 Lumias.

Ya that is another problem MS have to solve give us 3g only option.

are you sure your phone has the bands necessary to communicate with your service providers 3G bands?
