My optonline Email account wont sync

Are you just now setting up the phone? did you reset the phone? or did this occur out of the blue?

Had phone (HTC 8X) since Nov. 2013 no trouble till now . This occurred suddenly since Thursday.

Did you try removing the account and then adding it again? Another trick would be to check if text messaging backup is on and turn it off (Not sure if this applies to you, but give it a shot)

Tried turning messaging backup on and off,and emptying all folders and syncing after each deletion.

Hmm I can't really recommend anything else, but forwarding the mail to another email for now. This would allow you to get the mail on the phone.

Thank you for your help. I will contact my ISP provider to see if the error is on their end , if not I will go to the Microsoft Store for help.

Just to double check.
Did you also delete the account SETTINGS > EMAIL+ACCOUNTS > tap the account and than delete it.
And add it again.
