How do I fix Error Code 80073cf3 on Windows Phone 8.1?

Hi There,

I've read a few other forum posts but I can't seem to find any that help me. I just updated to Windows 8.1 and the Music app was missing. I tried to download it and I keep getting the error code 80073cf3. None of the other apps or updates will install either. Is there anything I can do to fix this? I just wanted to listen to my music haha.

I'm having the same problems. WP updated about a week ago - plenty of apps required updates, and all worked fine except for two. These come up with the same error code, and the message 'Attention required. Tap here.' Watching the updates shows the they download fine, but then the problem is with installing it.

Any solution to this?

You have to resign into your WiFi again. Its set to only download the apps over WiFi so it doesn't use many gigs of cellular data.

im getting the same error cord i would have to say that this is the issue. the apps that are third party apps needs to update their code so that it works with windows 8.1.. and Microsoft is well known for releasing **** early and after its release give companies the code so that they can update their apps so it works for windows 8.1... you know the same thing happens with vista when it was first released not third party hardware or software worked with it for months... give it time they will update the app. in the mean time delete the app from phone and keep trying to dl at at a later date

Well, the error code I get is 80073cf9, and it happens when it's trying to update OneDrive, which isn't a third party app, and it cannot be deleted...

I've got the error too. It seems this version of OneDrive is meant for Windows Phone 10 and not 8.1...

Same. Can't install OneDrive update for WP8.1 on 640, 640 XL, 635 (1GB) and 720. Error codes flip between 80073cf6 and 80073cf9.

I've found some "solutions" for getting around this error code on the Microsoft Community boards. Let me make the following point: changing the time and region, deleting Internet Explorer history and doing a soft reset does NOT help.
