How do i hard reset my nokia 925 if phone doesnt turn off(power button broke?)

Forgot password but wanted a hard reset anyway as its off a friend.. Power button i dont think is broke it lets me lock and to unlock is a little dodgy..i cant turn it off using this button nor can i use volume buttons? Using hard reset sequence all i can see is black screen and a little red dot..im holding it that long have to let go after minutes of it doing nothing..help!

You really should see about getting the button fixed if possible but what about from the Settings?

In WP8 Settings-->About tap the reset your phone button
In W10M Settings-->System-->About tap the Reset your phone button
