Windows Central Question

Posting in The Marketplace

Hi!

I'm new to this forum, and was wondering how to post a new thread in The Marketplace since the New Thread button isn't there.

Thanks and I'm sorry that I'm stupid,
Lance

Re: Posting in The Marketplace

Hey Lance... You need to have 30 days in and 50 posts on the site, as the link xandros9 left explains.

You also need to be signed in. I only mention this fact as you posted this question as a Guest, which means you weren't signed in.

If you don't qualify to post in Marketplace here and can't wait, try Swappa. Low fees, safety checks such as mandatory IMEI checks and posting the item code in a picture with the device clearly on helps assure buyers it is a safe place to get used items.

IMHO, the Mobile Nations forums Marketplace is a great place to buy or sell. It's community and a big help. Swappa would be my second favorite.

Wow some serious steps there. I don't plan on using the marketplace in the close future but never say never. I suppose you have to be throughout. Especially when selling tech, alot of stolen items get sold on Ebay each day. Would having a great buyer rating (such as mine I've 100% great rating) be considered in the buying portion of the marketplace??

Re: Posting in The Marketplace

Swappa has those checks. Marketplace here is more about community and trust. You know what they say: "Don't <make a mess> where you eat."

There is a Feedback subforum of Marketplace to post how someone is as a buyer or seller, but not many actually take the time out to use that or read it.

The established member criteria is a fail safe for Marketplace.

Thank you its good to know these things exist like even though I don't need it now I like the fact that those things exist. Better to have and not need it then to need it and not have it. 😊

Re: Posting in The Marketplace

I purchased my Lumia 920 from the Marketplace on WindowsCentral. I had no issues at all. It was exactly as described with no issues.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy something on any of the Mobile Nations Marketplace forums.

Re: Posting in The Marketplace

I've both bought and sold many times at webOS Nation and Windows Central, also once or twice at Android Central. I've always been pleased with the results as a buyer and a seller. It really is my go-to place. I love to just browse there and see what's on offer even when I'm not actively buying.

Re: Posting in The Marketplace

I thought about writing a lengthy post and then decided against it. I've probably bought and sold more devices in the Marketplace on various Mobile Nations sites compared to eBay / Swappa etc.
