How to update an Icon to Windows 10 ?
I had tested Windows 10 through all the previews on my Icon. Recently I realized it needed to be reset and "stuff" cleaned off, with a fresh install. So I did what I've always done and used the MSFT utility to reset it, and then subscribed it to the Insiders Fast Ring.
I realized that MSFT was not going to allow the ICON to have the newer updates, but I thought we could stay at Windows 10 with the device. However, it will not download the Win 10 update, even to the version that we were supposed to be able to retain.
Has anyone found a way around this ? I'm certainly not going to invest in another windows phone. I'd like to get the Icon back on Win 10, but if we can't do it any longer, then it goes in the box ...
