How do I use Lumia Play To?

Folks i want to stream music,videos and pictures from my Nokia Lumia 620 to windows Media player on my windows 8 PC connected to the same WiFi network.
Can anyone help me configuring the windows Media player so that i am able to stream from my phone.
Can anyone explain the necessary steps in detail.
I referred to this article :FAQ - How do I set up Windows Media Player to be able to use the Lumia Play to app? - Microsoft - India but it didn't work for me.

When i select "Connect" in the Play to app it say "No devices found.check that the device is turned on and connected to the same WiFi nw".

Same crap for me. The app is terrible. Come on MS.

Well I had the same problem, I solved it resetting my phone and erasing the sd card, I now you maybe won't like it, but after that I could use lumia play to without any troubles.

Change the location of lumia play to from sd card to phone memory. Did work for me.
