I've tried it and got the same result. Not sure, but maybe your PC has to be on the insider preview as well (and mine isn't, it's on 10586).

Just tried on surface that is insider and worked. Has to be powered on as well. Tried to PC at release with Surface off and said no PC found.

On second check, even though Cortana on phone said it sent it. I can't find anywhere on surface.

What build does it need on PC? Mine has 14352. Still this feature isn't working. First of all, how do you select the image?

I am on 14352 on Surface and a desktop. Way I did it was I went to photo app, selected a photo and while opened I activated Cortana and said send this photo to my pc. Searches for a second then shows Surface and Desktop as available. I clicked on surface and then 30 seconds later Cortana said Picture sent. I never saw anything on surface that it was receiving photo, etc. I searched file name and could not find either so I am not sure how that part works.

There's nothing given except a brief description of the feature which I have already read in the past.

I did that. But Cortana always says that it can't find any PCs nearby. Does it need bluetooth? I guess not. Maye this feature needs some more attention.

Are your devices on same network (wifi). I dont even know if that is required, just throwing guesses. Nearby makes me think same network. If was strictly MSA account related then distance wouldnt matter...right?

Yup, my devices are on the same network. But I think MSA is in play here. And if it's so, then it's hard to guess what the actual problem is.
