How do you think Whatsapp and other IM services will perform on Windows Phonee 8?

Symbian is the king of all....hahaha. I dont know why Lumia lineup is crappy when it comes to messaging. I really do hope that the nokia devs fix this once and for all. Smartphones are all about connectivity....and bcoz of this issue, that makes nokia lumia not so smaaaart...i am starting to hate it. My whatsapp is getting delayed sending and receiving messages.

Whoever told you that is talking out of their a55 and should never be asked for smartphone advice again. That statement is complete rubbish. Garbage. Trash. Junk. Native code capability is completely unrelated to any features involving Microsoft's push notification service.

The main reason people think push notifications do not work is because they have deactivated data over cellular and/or don't have a data plan with their carrier. That is always the first thing to look at. If changing that doesn't solve you problem, then your issues are the app developers fault and have nothing to do with Microsoft or WP7.5.

Beyond that, IM apps under WP8 will behave just as well/poorly as they did under WP7.

I leave it on overnight, and next day, i send a msg via whatsapp, it shows the small clock symbol...meaning message hangs , not sent...i dont know if its the server, or my phone, or the whatsapp itself. I changed cellular operators coz i thought it was my cellular network thats faulty...my 3g was also good in my area.

You know, I try to use Skype and have the same thing as you the spinning wheel, also this morning IM+ is just saying connecting and not loading, so what's going on with messaging services. I do remember seeing a posting MS is working on a update for Skype do out soon for WP 8 I wonder if this maybe the problems?.

This thread is more than a year old. I'd suggest asking your question in the official WhatsApp Q&A thread.

I'd love to get a WhatsApp developer on record, stating exactly what their problems are at this point, because it seems they can't get their app working perfectly even with Nokia's direct support.
