How does Nokia call+sms filter work?

I am using call+sms filter, I wonder how it works, can anyone please explain?

It works by blocking calls and SMS messages before your phone rings.

Yes, but if it does something like "igonre" the call, why the caller doesn't know about it?

Because the phone intercepts the call before it gets to the ringing stage. It just goes straight to voicemail.

you will also get a notification saying that it was blocked if you selected the option.

Being able to block calls and text is just about the best thing ever, It's a shame it's taken so long for companies to let the user do it

It's good for blocking calls, but it does NOT block incoming text, it will show its blocked but it still shows the text msg in the blocked text so they still come thru and can still read them it just does not put it in your text thread, I want it to block all together, I don't want to be able to read it in my blocked text, it won't keep it from still coming into ur phone, it needs to be updated/fixed so it actually does block the text from coming into your phone at all, Lumia 1020 & 920
