I was showing my 1520 to one of our drivers a couple of weeks ago, he was a died in the wool Android fan, I didn't see him again until last night, he is now sporting a 635 as a test device and said it's so much smoother and faster than his much higher spec Android and is loving it, he plans to upgrade to a higher spec phone as soon as he can, and from what I said to him it wouldn't surprise me that he also has an Xbox One next time I see him

How many non family converts have you made so far, I am on three now, and that is just by showing, not selling.

I don't convert people. I don't promote WP. I don't think it's up to me to do this. If someone is curious I'll show them my phone.

Unless they are really comfortable with tech I wouldn't recommend WP. That's just my opinion.

Just got my 920 back, couldn't give it away. Teenage grandson hated it. Must be time to go hunting for a 1020 or a 1520 for next to nothing. Love these windows phones!!

Not a single one. Then again I haven't tried. I did manage to talk my SO into a smartphone though. She is just very disinterested in WP

Just gave my mother my old 8x. Not sure if she'll stick with it though... She is often surprized that the battery is dead at the end of the day. Don't know how often she charged the old Samsung Android device she had before, though...!

None, unfortunately. In fact, I converted to Android. Lol. Now rocking the Nexus 5. Don't get me wrong, I love windows phone but stock Android is just fantastic. Still using my HTC 8X as my secondary device though.

My other half sold her Nexus 4 and replaced it with a Lumia 1520 - quite the change. That was based on some hands on time with WP8.1 on my 930.

No one... no matter how I promote, the same old stuff comes out: "but I can't get Google apps" or "There's not enough apps" or the fear of the lack of support because in people's minds popular = better.

When one arrives 3 years late, it's had to break through sometimes. Especially with Google acting like... well... Google.

2 people got WP after my recommendations however Verizon screwed one selling them an old 900 series...

A coworker is waiting on his contract to die, then wants a WP over the next iPhones. Other then that, both my kids are WP users and happy. My son wants nothing but.

My wife was a WP7 user, but her time with HTC Titan 1&2 soured her. She is now all Android, rocking a LG Flex and not even tempted to come back.

By the way- really hoping for LG to follow through and release a WP based on their latest hardware. I am really impressed with how well her Flex is running.
