So first you update the Transfer my Data app from the market place if its not updated. Just a recommendation though.
Once updated, follow the instructions here: Using Nokia?s Transfer My Data app on your new Lumia

And thats all!!
It should help you to transfer your contacts and your text msgs.....

Hey, sorry i was away for quite long time... Is your issue resolved???

Step 1: Login The Smartphone Reinvented Around You | Windows Phone (United States) in Windows PC

Step2: Got to https://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/my or select my ?My Phone? from windows phone

Step3: Then select ?View Contacts? then u will show a page named ?People?

Step4: Page people → Manage → Export ( Export your contacts will be .csv files ? plz remember location?)

Step5: Type search bar in ?CONTACTS? on PC then select contact → ?IMPORT? (on contacts in PC)

Step6: After copying →?Export? → u will get window →select format .vcf or csv→ select vCard(.vcf) →save file to Nokia Symbian phone?s memory card→others →make new folder named ?contacts? →then save.

Step7: Go to Nokia Symbian phone Contacts →Create Backup→From Memory Card→ Ur contact will show in ur Nokia E5

same like this u can copy Windows Phone (Lumia) to Android, or Android to Lumia or Nokia Symbian Platform. U can convert CSV files to VCF files or VCF files to CSV

No need any software or Apps
