how to fix overheating and drainning issues on windows 10 on my hpelitebook 2560p ?

hello I updated my laptop from windows 7 to windows 10 6 months after the update I have noticed serious dranning issues my hp drains extremmely fast in less than in hour it is also very laggy and overheating i don't know how to fix it please help me
just afetr typing this text my battery dropped 13pourcent windows 7 was not as laggy

check windows update to see if it was downloading/is downloading OS updates and installing them
