How to pair Lumia 530 with Nokia Treasure Tag (WS-2)?

I've been trying to pair these two guys for a while. No NFC on the 530, so I thought bluetooth would work. Well, turns out the tag had a dead battery so I replaced that and now it beeps on power-on and power-off. Even still, 530 can't find any tags even when I have the tag right above it. Any ideas, tricks, to make this work? EDIT: I do have the treasure tag app installed.

Have you the "treasure tag" app installed from the store ? only help I can think of..

YUp, it's installed.

Seems I wasted a good twenty bucks on this thing. Any other people who've gotten this to work with a 530?

I asked a friend who has one and he said, your best after changing the battery to remove all connected apps,and install them fresh. remove from Bluetooth history if you got. Even the tag by holding the button on key while popping the battery in and out. He said you may have a faulty tag, and if that doesn't work to ask for your money back. He said doing the following covers all set up.
