How to programmatically (c/c++/c#) sample GPU usage in Windows 10

Hello;
Part of the application development (Windows 10) in my company I need to programmatically sample the GPU usage. So far all the examples I found relate to GPU usage metrics via task manager or some other 3rd party application.
Are there a Windows API functions/samples to programmatically sample the current GPU usage?
