How to restore apps and settings from Windows 8.1 phone?

I just picked up a Lumia 950 from ATT and I cannot figure out how to restore all of my apps, texts, settings, etc from my old phone. Is it compatible? Did the AT&T guy blow through the settings while turning it on and skip the step to restore?

I picked one up this morning. The AT&T guy was really knowledgeable about W10M. He guided me through the initial setup. The phone asked me for Microsoft Account detail when turned on for the first time. Upon doing so, it detected my Nokia Lumia 920 and allowed to fetch everything from there. After that it kept on fetching all backup data for 10-15 mins. In the end the result was amazing. It restored all my contacts, apps, even the start screen!

He blew through the settings. Once you enter your Ms account I fo, it'll ask if you want to restore. I did from my 830 with no problem

Thanks! I just did a factory reset and it's currently restoring.
