How to set customer ringtones and message tones in W10 mobile?

This feature currently isn't in Windows 10 Mobile Technical Preview. We're hoping for a new build in the next couple of weeks. Or there might be an app update at some point to support this feature.

Yes, that's adding a custom ring tone to the phone itself. You can't yet assign different ring tones for different people.

If you want a custom ringtone for the phone, then yes. Just drag the music files into the ringtones folder using the computer. You may need to adjust the format of the files to get them working (wma/mp3).

Going to the individuals contact allows you to assign custom ringtones and text tones to them. I don't think there is a way to set the regular text notification tone yet though.

For now it is not possible to set custom ringtone and text tone to individual contact. You may set only one ringtone and message tone.

Go to settings, notifications, and then chose messaging. There you have a option to change a tone.
Ringtone maker app works again, so no more need for PC to make custom ringtone.
I'm only waiting next build where will be possible to change ringtone and sms tone for different contacts

Looks like you cannot do this in build 10581. If you try the People app wants to send you to the Store. It worked in previous builds so I guess it is a bug which will be fixed. There was an update for the People app yesterday but this situation has not changed.
