How to share a photo by using Gmail?

I recently switched over to an HTC 8x from having the WP 7.8 Lumia 900. With 7.8 you can hold your finger on a photo, select "share", then select Gmail. Well, with the new phone, sharing with Gmail is not an option. How do I make it an option?

Umm setup a gmail account on the phone first?
