How to stick to 3g only?

I bought 3g data plan today (India). In my office the 3g signals are a little weak. The phone is reverting to 2g and most of the time its on 2g only.

Is there a way to force the phone to stick to 3g only?

I bought the 3g data plan for use in office only.

Does your office have wifi? If not are you able to install a wireless router to a pc to create a wifi network? 3g would then not be needed. your service provider may also have signal boosters available for a fee.

not really.

when your signal is week it reverts to 2G because not enought signal is comming in...

the only way u could stick on 3g is to get some sort of signal booster.

Your 3g data plan works even if your phone is using the 2g network. The data plan name just states the maximum connection speed - in this case 3g speed, like 5.6 to 7.2mbit, iirc. On 2g network its just capped to 2g speed respectively.
