How to transfer contacts from old HTC to new Nokia Lumina

I'm trying to find a way to transfer my contacts from my old HTC running WP8 to my new Nokia Lumina 928 running WP8.1 but I can't find a way to do this. I've googled everywhere. I found something on windowsphone.com written by an ***** that says I should put the sim from my old phone into my new phone and then upload them but the sim in the HTC is a different size than the sim in the new phone.

Take your old SIM to your carrier along with your new phone and SIM and they'll do it there.

Contacts should transfer over automatically once you sign in with your account.

I found an app "Transfer my Data" that worked very well.
