How to turn off data?

I have no data plan, just phone and text. I want to be sure to completely turn data off so I just use wi-fi for updates, apps etc. so I am not charged extra. I have access to wi-fi most of the time. Nokia Lumia 635 with Windows 8.1 My manual is not exactly clear on this. Can someone help?

Settings > cellular + SIM > Data connection OFF

Go to settings > mobile+SIM > Data Connection > Off.

If you really want to make sure you will have to add some wrong APN settings, so your phone can never connect to your carriers data network.
