How to update Tower information for better reception

I have a Lumia 1520 Windows phone . I love it , however I want to know how do I make sure I have the latest cell Tower information

Doesn't this happen automatically these days? Not being a jerk. I just figured we're past that. I'm probably wrong. lol

Oh god, I remember that stuff from my Touch Pro days on Sprint. I sincerely hope we are past those days. Flashing radios, too.....ugh!
