How to view sent mail on Lumia 635?

I see the folders option under my Gmail account but the only thing under the sent mail folder is the option to sync messages and that doesn't seem to do anything. And whenever I go to the outbox folder and view an email I sent, it always gets deleted after I finish viewing without even asking me. Anyone having this problem too?

I just tried it on my 635. I was able to sync my gmail "sent" folder (on wifi) without a problem. Since it's already synced, I can't reproduce this on cellular data until I send another new email.
