HTC 8S Bad Lag and Freezing when Playing Music

Hi,

I purchased a HTC 8S in February, worked fine up until the last update (about a month ago).

When playing music, the music will cut our for a minute then resume. When it cuts out, the phone is very laggy and sometimes unusable.

I wouldn't mind so much if it happened once in a while, but this happens every time I listen to music thus ruining my listening experience.

Does anybody know a solution? I searched Google which just came back with other people experiencing this issue, but no resolution.

Any help would be appreciated

Is this lag happening when you listen to music stored locally on your device, or is it happening when you stream music?

If you are streaming, are you using WiFi or mobile network? Does the lag occur with all music apps?

Thanks for responding.

Its stored on a SD Card on the phone. So locally.

I can't help you because I have not experienced it on locally stored music. I did have ne or two occasions of it happening when I was streaming and the culprit is my N900 Central.

Perhaps a reset may fix it.

I guess it's firmware problem. I experience similar problems but with games, see my thread about "Sound distortions after GDR2 update". No resetting can fix this.
