HTC 8X not updating

I have an HTC 8X that I purchased through ebay. It works perfectly fine except for one thing. It refuses to update. It is currently on version 8.0.9900.568 and when I go to settings -> phone update -> check for updates it claims that my phone is up to date... Is there any way to force an update?
