HTC?s new Windows Phone flagship, the HTC One M8 for Windows, was initially revealed to be a Verizon Wireless exclusive, but recent news reports make us wonder if HTC and Verizon really were serious about the whole exclusivity thing.

New information released this past week indicates the HTC Windows Phone 8.1 device will be available from all four major US carriers ? AT&T, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, and T-Mobile. Now a recent listing at WiFi Org mentions there will be a global model of the HTC One M8 for Windows that could be launching in various European markets including United Kingdom very soon.

Going by the pace at which the One M8 availability was confirmed for other US carriers shortly after announcement, we expect the HTC One M8 for Windows to launch before the end of this month in the European market. At least the UK should be getting the WP 8.1 smartphone soon.

HTC One M8 for Windows to make its way to Europe?

HTC might not have it as easy in the US with One M8 for Windows as in the European market. While HTC commands a much greater presence and influence with the carriers in the US, Nokia has traditionally been very strong in Europe. HTC hasn?t had much success in Europe for the past few years, especially when it comes to their Windows Phone offerings. So it?s going to be interesting to see if the premium design and latest hardware specifications of the One M8 for Windows can entice consumers in Europe.

The One M8 for Windows is the same phone as the HTC One M8, only with a different operating system. It comes with the same 5-inch Full HD SLCD3 display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 801, 2.3GHz, 2GB RAM, HTC 4MP Ultrapixel rear camera, LTE connectivity and a 2600mAh battery.
